Top tips for marquee decorations

Hanging decorations from the roof of marquees is an easy and effective way to add colour and atmosphere.

As well as flower installations and artfully draped foliage, hops are a popular choice for an autumn wedding. Paper lanterns, bunting, ribbons, balloons, fairy lights or festoon lighting and chandeliers draw the eyes upward.

bedecked-table-marqueeDIY fabric or paper bunting is a cost effective way of adding your chosen colour theme to the marquee.

Folded origami paper decorations can be very striking and a nice alternative to balloons.

Draping fabric around the marquee frame is cheap way to decorate, soften and add colour, adding disco balls gives a touch of sparkle.

Hanging lampshades can add texture and personality, whilst lanterns provide a warm and glowing light for a cosy feel.

You could create a entire ceiling canopy out of string lights to give a shimmering glamorous feel to the décor.

You can also hang decorations and lighting down the sides of the marquee. Balloons are very versatile, either with or without helium, different shapes and sizes and a huge range of colour choices – we are seeing balloon arches as a popular feature either at the entrance, for selfie photo opportunities or to emphasise a feature such as the cake, picture boards, table plans, a fun backdrop for the dancefloor, or to incorporate themed age or gender party reveals.

Don’t forget the tables – centrepieces can add height, our candelabras come in 4 colours. We also hire table lanterns, tealight holders and crystal balls as well as mirror bases to add vibrancy. Table runners, napkins and chair sashes add bursts of colour throughout. The floral centre pieces vary from simple hand-tied posies in jam jars to tall vases.
